Former first daughter Ivanka Trump has spoken out following her father’s indictment. Ivanka Trump, who was a presidential adviser during Donald Trump’s term, posted her reaction Friday, the day after he father’s indictment was handed down Thursday. Following her statement the media has criticized her response.
Ivanka took to her Instagram where she wrote,
“I love my father, and I love my country. Today I am pained for both. I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern.”
The three sentence statement was issued onto her stories Friday, where as her brothers responded to the news almost immediately. Ivanka has took great effort in distancing her from her family politically after announcing she would be stepping back politically and not being a part of her fathers 2024 political campaign or administration.
The three sentence statement was criticized Friday as many found the statement to be short, vague, and “extremely low energy.”
Business Insider said that Ivanka’s statement was “as bland as possible.”
While the Daily Beast entitled an article on the subject “Ivanka Offers Extremely Low Energy Statement in Support of Dad.”
Within the Daily Beast’s article they had claimed an aide told them that Ivanka would also not be commenting on the subject beyond those 27 words.
Many are also comparing Ivanka’s response to that of her bothers with many comparing the siblings and their relationship to their father.
