Democratic Texas Rep. Al Green was kicked out of the chamber Tuesday evening after disrupting President Donald Trump’s speech.
Just minutes into Trump’s joint address, the Democratic lawmaker could be heard yelling as the president spoke about his historic election win. Trump could then be seen signaling for Green to be removed, as Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson and Vice President JD Vance were seen standing behind Trump.
After a warning from Johnson, the House ordered Green’s removal from the chamber, to which Republicans could be heard cheering as the lawmaker walked out.
