A young dad died after anti-Trump protesters blocked his ambulance, according to one a statement from one of his paramedics.
One of the paramedics posted on Facebook:
“I have to unfacebook for a few days. I had a patient die during a transfer last night because our ambulance was stopped by protesters and had to drive an extra 45 minutes around the blocked roads. I can’t today.”
The paramedic added, “They can give their f*cking safety pins to my patient’s fatherless four year old daughter,” in reference to the anti-Trump “solidarity” protest of wearing a safety pin attached to their shirts as a stance against alleged racism.
A screenshot of the Facebook post has been posted anonymously and has not yet been verified, but multiple news sources have begun to report the story.
After Donald Trump’s surprise presidential win last week, spontaneous protests have sprung up nationwide—and they show no signs of abating. As the protests continue to grow, they’ve blocked a number of major streets and highways in a number of states. It was only a matter of time before an innocent person got hurt.
