Three-term Senator Debbie Stabenow is among the safest Democrats in states the president won. She didn’t vote for Kavanaugh the first time, or for Gorsuch, yet she won’t rule out a vote for Kavanaugh in 2018 according to the New York Post. Interesting, huh? It might be that her race isn’t as easy as is commonly thought, and she might need to break from Schumer’s blockade in order to appear less partisan. Maybe the longtime incumbent is nervous or just can’t say no immediately.
