Gillibrand has served as a Democrat Senator from New York since 2009, prior to her current stint she also served as a congresswoman, worked on failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s 2000 senate campaign as well as serving as an attorney defending big tobacco companies from a criminal probe.
Though she originally ran as a centrist “Blue Dog” Democrat in her original congressional district in Upstate New York, after she won her Senate seat in 2009 she cynically changed many of her positions to become significantly more left-wing.
Why Trump Would Beat Her:
Currently polling slightly north of zero percent, Gillibrand is simply unlikeable in almost every way. With a high pitched, shrill sounding voice and hyper-liberal talking points, she is essentially a ‘diet-coke’ version of Hillary Clinton.
She also recently bragged that one of the main reasons that she would do a better job than other Democrat candidates is because she has the unique ability to explain “white privilege” to “white women in the suburbs.” Not exactly a formula for winning the Presidency.
The Bottom Line:
Gillibrand is a shrill liberal schoolmarm who is polling so low she probably won’t even make the next round of Democrat debates. She would have absolutely no chance against President Trump and her campaign will inevitably soon fold up like a cheap suit.
