FAMILY SPLIT An Obama Endorses Trump

The 44th President of the United States Barack Obama’s brother Malik has endorsed President Trump for re-election.

In a tweet, Malik Obama said: “Today I endorse and Will be Voting for President Donald J. Trump (sic)”.

Malik, who proclaims himself a “Veteran of The Great Meme War of 2016” and the #BestObama, also supported Donald Trump in 2016.

Obama’s half-brother, Malik, was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. The brothers met for the first time in 1985 in Washington, DC and served as each other’s best men in their respective weddings.

Malik, a small electronic shop owner in Kenya, has a political history of his own.

In 2013, he unsuccessfully ran for governor of Siaya, a Kenyan county, using the slogan of “Obama here, Obama there.”

The brothers have increasingly grown apart recently, not just politically.

In 2015, Malik called his brother a “con man who has failed to help members of his own poverty-stricken Kenyan family.”

In 2016, Malik attended one of the presidential debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as a guest of then-candidate Trump.

Malik currently runs a 501c3 organization, the Barack H. Obama Foundation, which honors his father. The mission of the organization is “[t]o provide people everywhere with resources to uplift their welfare and living standards in memory of Barack H. Obama: in the region of his birth, Kenya and beyond.”

In 2013, the former embattled IRS official Lois Lerner approved the foundation’s tax status within an unprecedented amount of time, according to a report from The Daily Caller.
