Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly has scored the first interview with Joe Biden accuser Tara Reade.

Reade alleges she was sexually assaulted (recap at end of article) in 1993 by her then-boss Senator Joe Biden in his Senate office.

In a preview of the interview, which was taped yesterday, Megyn Kelly asked Tara Reade if she would go under oath and submit herself to cross-examination which Reade responded “absolutely”.

Perhaps the splashiest part of the interview preview is when Kelly asked if Reade would undergo a polygraph. Reade replied:

 “I’m not a criminal. Joe Biden should take the polygraph. What kind of precedent does that set for survivors of violence? Does that mean that we are presumed guilty and we have to take polygraphs? So I will take one of Joe Biden takes one, but I’m not a criminal.

Additionally, Reade was asked if Biden should withdraw from the race. She responded, “I wish he would, but he won’t.”

Reade also said it’s a little late for an apology from Biden.

“He was at first talking to someone, they went away. He said come here. And then when I gave him the gym bag it happened in one mounting almost and he had me against the wall. And then his hands were down my skirt and up my skirt.”

“[He] entered me with his hands as was trying to kiss me and sing to me,” she continued.

“He was trying to kiss me as I was pulling away. What I remember about that time is feeling really shocked [or] surprised. There was no real conversation right beforehand. There was no real precursor. This just happened.” she explained.

“I was obviously pulling away. He pulled back and said ‘hey man, I heard you liked me’ …something to that effect. And that’s what kind of jolted me. Like I was trying to think what I did wrong to bring that on me. And then…he looked angry or irritated with me…that’s when I knew I was in a very difficult position,” Reade continued.
