House Judicary Committee Passes Both Articles of Impeachment Along Party Lines

For only the third time in American history Articles of Impeachment will move to the full House for a vote.

Both articles of impeachment passed the committee completely along party lines by votes of 23-17.

The House will now vote on whether to impeach President Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Both charges are incredibly broad and vague.

If the President is impeached the trial on whether to convict him and remove him from office will happen in the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has promised that there is zero chance that the president gets removed from office.
