Pelosi Invites Trump to Give State of the Union Days After Impeachment

Nancy Pelosi has invited President Trump to give the State of the Union on February 4th. The invite comes just days after the House, led by Pelosi, voted to impeach President Trump.

According to Politico:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has invited President Donald Trump to deliver the State of the Union address on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Pelosi extended the invitation in a letter to the president on Friday.

The invitation comes just days after the House impeached Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The timing means Trump could deliver the annual address as the Senate presides over his impeachment trial.

Despite President Trump being painted as a threat to the Country and the Constitution, Congress has extended an invite to give the State of the Union, funded his Space Force, and given him more executive power.

It remains unclear if Trump will accept the invite, but there have been no indications that he will not.
