Vice President Pence's role has been expanding most notably meeting with Putin recently and famously staring the Russian President down.
Vice President Mike Pence will be President Trump's running mate in 2020, a senior official in his office confirmed to DailyMail.com on Tuesday.
Trump asked Pence publicly on Nov. 7 if he would be his number-two a second time.
The vice president was seen nodding his head, but Roll Call reported Monday that he never answered the question. The Capitol Hill newspaper also floated a list of seven potential replacements, including five women.
But Pence's senior aide said that 'yes – he accepted when the President asked him in the East Room,' a statement that should end speculation.
