President Trump released his latest endorsement Monday morning as he endorsed Lacy Johnson for Congress.
Lacy is challenging one of Trump’s biggest critics in the Congress: Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar.
In Trump’s endorsement he said:
“And I’m Endorsing you also Lacy, you truly deserve it. You are doing a great job, and Omar is a disaster who wants much higher taxes, hates our Military & our Vets, demands Open Borders, and is fighting to take away our great 2nd Amendment. Good luck Lacy!”
Lacy Johnson is a 40-year resident of the Minneapolis area who has worked in IT for companies such as General Electric and Northwest Airlines before founding three small businesses “dedicated to the economic development, technology training, and education within inner city communities”, according to his campaign website.
He listed his priorities as “building a strong economy for all Americans”, making our schools great”, fighting for Israel and “standing up to Rep. Ihlan Ohmar”.
He has been married for 40 years and has two sons.
As of March 31st, his campaign has raised over $1 million dollars for its fight against the embattled first-term Congresswoman who’s made herself an easy target for Republicans with her bizarre alleged affair with her chief fundraiser Tim Mynett – who was also married at the time. Omar eventually married Mynett in March.
Additionally, Rep. Omar attended a terrorist fundraiser.
According to a press release from Louisiana Attorney General:
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, a former Member of Congress and an Army veteran, slammed United States Representative Illhan Omar for her dismissive remarks about the worst terrorist attack on American soil and – more importantly – her support of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
…
Last month at a fundraiser for CAIR, Rep. Omar proclaimed that organization was “founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
The group’s funneling of money to those actively seeking to kill Americans actually prompted AG Landry to write then-United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch regarding the continuing activities of CAIR.
“Given CAIR’s ties to terrorist activities, any rational person would agree that it is not a group with whom a Member if Congress should be associating,” concluded AG Landry.
Omar won her 2018 race by a large margin and Cook Political Report has labeled her seat as “Solid Democratic”.
