Trump’s Legal Team Uses Dem Standards to Make Case for Obama’s Impeachment

President Trump’s legal team is full of experienced legal minds and one of their clever strategies was to use the standards employed by Democrats to impeach President Trump and apply those standards to former President Obama.

According to Town Hall:

Eric Herschmann, a private attorney representing President Trump, turned the tables on Democrats Monday, arguing that by the standards for impeachment they’ve established, President Obama should have been impeached.

“One can easily substitute” Obama’s 2012 conversation with former Russian President Dmitri Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility” to negotiate on missile defense after the November election into the abuse of power article the House approved against Trump, Herschmann argued.

“President Obama abused the powers of the presidency in a manner that compromised the national security of the United States and undermined the integrity of the U.S. democratic process. Does it sound familiar, House managers?” he asked. “It should.”

“The case against President Obama is far stronger than the allegations against President Trump,” he continued. “President Obama’s abuse of power to benefit his own political interests was there and is here now for everyone to hear. It was a direct, unquestionable quid pro quo. No mind reading was needed there.”

This legal tactic shows just how broad the Democrat’s standards have become in order to remove their nemesis from office.
