Trump Says ‘Dirty Politicians and Dirty Cops’ Should Pay for Their Mess

On “Fox and Friends” this morning, Trump said “dirty politicians and dirty cops and some horrible people and hopefully, they’re going to pay a big price in the not too distant future,” referring to the Russia probe after the transcripts from it were released.

Interview:

The transcripts include interviews with Donald Trump Jr., Michael Cohen, Corey Lewandowski, Jared Kushner, Steve Bannon and others who were in Trump’s orbit. The documents contain over 6000 pages of 57 interviews conducted behind closed doors.

Congressman Adam Schiff explained his committee’s release the transcripts:

“These transcripts should have been released long before now, but the White House held up their release to the public by refusing to allow the Intelligence Community to make redactions on the basis of classified information, rather than White House political interests,” Schiff said in a statement Thursday. “Only now, and during a deadly pandemic, has the President released his hold on this damning information and evidence.”

After the report was released, Trump Campaign’s Strategic Director of Communication Marc Lotter tweeted: “NO EVIDENCE. NO COLLUSSION. Millions wasted proving Adam Schiff is a LYING CLOWN.”

Lotter’s comments certainly allude to the transcripts vindicating the Trump team which contradicts Schiff’s narrative that the Trump administration was holding up the transcript release because it was damaging.
