Most pollsters predicted that Florida would be a close race between the two candidates. An NBC/WSJ/Marist poll taken in October of 2016 found Clinton in the lead with 45 percent of the votes. In the end, Trump came out victorious with 49% of the votes compared to Clinton’s 47.8%
