Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe is shutting down the conspiracy theories claiming that Hunter Biden’s laptop is a part of a “Russian disinformation campaign.” Ratcliffe vehemently denied the allegations to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo during an interview Monday morning.

Ratcliffe decided to address the rumors directly after House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff suggested over the weekend that the emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop are part of a smear campaign coming from the Kremlin, though he has no evidence to back up any of this narrative.

The Democrat said to CNN, “we know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about this vice president and his son.”

In reports from Fox News:

“It’s funny that some of the people who complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing the intelligence,” Ratcliffe said. “Unfortunately, it is Adam Schiff who said the intelligence community believes the Hunter Biden laptop and emails on it are part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

He added: “Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.”

Ratcliffe went on to say that it is “simply not true.”

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” Ratcliffe said, adding again that “this is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”

It’s no surprise that Joe Biden’s supporters are attempting to shift attention away from the Democrat presidential candidate and pin it on someone else. The bombshell emails from Vadym Pozharskyi revealed that Joe Biden had met with a top executive with Ukraine’s Burisma Holdings while holding the office of Vice President after repeatedly claiming he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

The email read, “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”

The meeting came less than a year before Biden pressured Ukraine to fire Shokin, the leading prosecutor investigating Burisma’s founder.

A senior intelligence official backed up Ratcliffe’s determination of Biden’s laptop saying he is “100% correct.”

According to a report from The Daily Wire:

In response to the segment, a senior U.S. intelligence official told Fox News: “Ratcliffe is 100% correct. There is no intelligence at this time to support Chairman Schiff’s statement that recent stories on Biden’s foreign business dealings are part of a smart campaign that ‘comes from the Kremlin.’ Numerous foreign adversaries are seeking to influence American politics, policies, and media narratives. They don’t need any help from politicians who spread false information under the guise of intelligence.”
