Georgia
A recount will occur in the newest battleground state. Georgia has historically supported Republicans but this election has nearly flipped the state blue. Under the law, the slim margins qualify the state to recount votes. Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Reffensperger said in a press conference, “Right now Georgia remains too close to call. With a margin that small there will be a recount in Georgia.” Under the law, recounts may be requested as long as the final margin is between 0.5% and candidates have 48 hours in which they are officially certified to do so.
