Michigan

According to state law, a recount is required in Michigan only if the vote margin is within 2,000. If the votes fall outside of those margins a candidate may only formally file a petition for a recount if they allege that fraud or a mistake was made in tallying votes and they would, “have a reasonable chance of winning the election.” A formal petition requesting a recount must be filed within two days of the votes being certified.
