Trump Considering Pardon for Michael Flynn

Gage Skidmore from Peoria, AZ, United States of America via Wikimedia Commons

Reports are indicating that President Trump is considering a pardon for General Michael Flynn. Flynn was President Trump’s first National Security Adviser who was fired and then subsequently prosecuted for allegedly lying to the FBI about contacts with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Since then documents have been uncovered that led to the DOJ to drop the charges, Despite that, Obama-appointed Judge Emmit Sullivan continues to try and keep the case from being thrown out.

According to The Daily Wire:

Axios reported Tuesday evening that two sources close to Trump said the president was considering a pardon for Flynn, whom the FBI described as “forthright” during their interview.

“Sources with direct knowledge of the discussions said Flynn will be part of a series of pardons that Trump issues between now and when he leaves office,” Axios reported.

As The Daily Wire previously reported, documents released by the Justice Department to Flynn’s attorneys showed FBI agents knew Flynn wasn’t a Russian agent and that he didn’t lie during their meeting, yet he was prosecuted anyway as part of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation in Russian interference in the 2016 election, which included farcical allegations that Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia to steal the election. Fired FBI director James Comey even admitted that the FBI interview with Flynn didn’t follow standard protocol. The FBI knew what Flynn discussed with Kislyak, yet they brought him in for questioning anyway. The FBI had a transcript of Flynn’s phone call; Flynn did not. Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI but has since tried to rescind that plea. Many people plead guilty when they are innocent in order to avoid harsher sentences.

Others who have lied to the FBI, such as former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, were never charged.

Several pages of notes, uncovered by Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell, showed the FBI admitted to handling the Flynn investigation inappropriately including Flynn being interviewed without counsel when the probe was supposed to be shut down.

Notes indicate the FBI knew Flynn was not trying to deceive them and prosecutors struggled with having to charge him.

It’s the only path to justice. Clearly, Flynn wouldn’t stand a chance under the impending criminal administration.

Never will there be a more corrupt gang of crooks than the Obama setup.
They raked in money from everywhere while estalibhsing a deep state to secure that they cannot be ousted even by an election. And now elections have been rigged for the future exactly like every socialist regime in history.

Probably the only way Flynn can obtain any justice aside from being declared innocent which cannot happen under current “justice”. Trouble is if he’s “pardoned” that means he was still found “guilty” that was injustice in itself. So how could he get any legal or financial redress by “admitting?” guilt nevertheless being pardoned?

I do suppose that some think this is fact when it is about as wrong as it gets. Now Barr had a chance to present ther new evidence if he had any which he does not, or he would have produced it and all this would be in the past. Flynn having been a Military Officer knows and has had to make speeches to his lower rank person on the importance of not lying to any investigator let alone the FBI, yet Flynn chose to disregard all this when he lied to the FBI about the details of his conversation with the Russian Ambassador, which the FBI already knew what transpired, as the age old saying the walls have ears. Pardoning a know violator who knew he was committing a crime when he did it, is not a political thing it is a national Security thing.

Really Robert? General Flynn was set up and they threatened his son. Most of us would do what we had to do to protect our children. Barr has had plenty of chances to bring the dim liars and cheats to justice and hasn’t done that either so why would he focus on General Flynn when DC is crawling with corrupt politicians and more. The only justice that will be served is when General Flynn is given a full pardon.

Not ONLY should General Flynn be “pardoned” but the record should show that he COMPLETELY EXHONORATED!!! Even the FBI has stated that he was “forthright” in their dealings with him and the charges were DROPPED! It is the JUDGE who is circumventing the LAW and substituting his OWN version of it!!! AND General Flynn should be compensated for ANY AND ALL that this has cost him — both monetarily AND the damage done to his reputation!!!

I am of the belief Trump has no other choice but to pardon him. The man is an innocent victim of the Obama administration. If Trump doesn’t pardon him, he will spend the rest of his life in prison for a made up crime, heaped on him by the worst administration in the history of this nation. It is criminal that it is still ongoing. There is no crime, there is no evidence. A pardon is the least the man deserves. Being able to punish those who committed this crime against him….that would be real justice.

Margie Tiritilli

Absolutely, President Trump must pardon General Flynn. What was done to him was an outrage while all the guilty go free led by “Pretender” President Obama and his corrupt administration. As for Judge Sullivan, he should be removed from the bench since it appears he’s under the control of the evil Obama. There is no justice when people like this hold power whether political or judicial.

Walkin O'Shea

It’s unfortunate that the dims put roadblock after roadblock in place to stifle General Flynn’s freedom. If this is the only way, then the President should get the pardon completed as quickly as he can. Why is the General being put through the ringer time and time again. Just get it done.

I can’t believe that half the country had not heard of the Biden corruption before the election. What a travesty. I then assume that they haven’t heard that the Russian collusion was a real hoax and that the ones in the FBI will go scot free. What a travesty. Well, Hillary is still not in jail so why should we assume that theses other criminals will be put in jail. Republicans go to jail but have you ever seen a Democrat be punished? What has this country come to.
