Karine Jean-Pierre has been appointed to serve as Biden’s principal deputy press secretary after working as Kamala Harris’s chief of staff. Jean-Pierre previously worked as a political analyst for NBC and MSNBC before joining the campaign. During the Obama-Biden administration, Jean-Pierre worked as the White House regional political director and worked for Obama during his re-election campaign as deputy battleground states director in 2012.
