Tom Vilsack- Secretary of Agriculture
Tom Vilsack has been selected to head the Department of Agriculture responsible for overseeing all federal laws relating to farming, forestry, rural economic development, and food. Vilsack began in politics as a mayor before running for Senate and eventually being elected as Iowa’s Governor. In 2008, Barack Obama nominated Vilsack to serve as Secretary of Agriculture. Now, Biden has decided to nominate Vilsack to serve in the position once again.
