Critics are coming after New York’s Governor Cuomo and his spokesperson Richard Azzopardi after he insulted Fox News’ Janice Dean. Dean is a meteorologist for Fox News who also lost both step-parents to Covid-19, likely a direct result of Cuomo’s policies regarding the virus.

Since losing her in-laws, Dean has forced Cuomo to take some accountability by demanding investigations into Cuomo’s nursing home order. For those who forgot, Governor Cuomo required nursing homes and other long-term care facilities to take in COVID-19-positive patients, where the virus is far and away most deadly.

Townhall reports:

Cuomo spokesman Richard Azzopardi responded to Dean with this rude response in the Daily Mail:

“Every state has had issues with vaccine distribution because of lack of federal funds but we’re rapidly ramping up distribution and currently have administered more than 60 percent of the vaccines we have. Last I checked, she’s not a credible source on anything except maybe the weather.”

Again, Dean experienced personal loss this past year that seems to have been linked to the governor’s policies. I think that gives her some sort of “credibility” on the issue.

The Cuomo administration is still refusing to release the accurate number of COVID-related nursing home deaths from the past year. Their initial report did not include the number of individuals who died from COVID after being transferred from their nursing home to the hospital.

Dean responded to Azzopardi’s comment reminding the spokesman that she has every right to share her opinion which has so closely affected her family.

It wasn’t long before other conservatives stood up for Dean and blasted Cuomo’s handling of the virus.

“The View’s” Meghan McCain expanded on conservative Guy Benson’s comment calling Cuomo a “heartless monster.”

Meghan Kelly chimed in and blasted Cuomo’s response to Coronavirus.
