“President Trump Violated his Oath of Office”
The Democrat impeachment managers plan to argue that President Trump violated his sacred oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States” on Jan. 6th. The brief states that Trump violated this oath by inciting an ‘insurrectionary riot” against Congress to “block the certification of the election results” for his own political gain.
That day Congress held a Joint Session for Congressional members to either confirm or object to the state’s electoral votes for Joe Biden. In past election years, a number of Democrats have objected to state’s votes for different past presidents yet received no backlash.
