Beutler called Trump’s comments after the Capitol insurrection “pathetic.” She said on the House floor, “My vote to impeach our sitting president is not a fear-based decision. I am not choosing a side, I’m choosing truth. It’s the only way to defeat fear.” 

She is also voted for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s removal from two committee assignments. Beutler has never been a fan of the former president, revealing she has never voted for the Republican.
