Figurative language is used by many with no consequence

The left has poorly attempted to claim that President Trump’s use of figurative language played a crucial role in pushing protestors to violently storm the Capitol building. However, while Democrats have become hypersensitive to anything from Trump they clearly do not wish to hold themselves to the same standard they seek to impose on Trump and conservatives. In the defense brief, the team notes past incendiary comments from Speaker Pelosi, Representative Ayana Pressley, as well as Maxine Waters. All made comments which seemed to promote harassment and violence of Republicans yet none have faced any consequences.

The defense memo reads:

“in 2018, Speaker Nancy Pelosi held her weekly press conference in the Capitol Visitor Center. In reference to a policy she disagreed with, the most powerful Democrat in the Country said: “I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. Maybe there will be.”Was she advocating violence? Sending a silent dog whistle to radical protesters? Should she be held accountable for her extremist rhetoric and removed from office?”

“As political violence grew last summer, Representative Ayana Pressley went on national TV and said that “there needs to be unrest in the streets.” Should we hold her liable to pay for all of the businesses that were destroyed when people heeded her call and removed from office?”
