Keeping schools closed
The proposed Covid relief bill includes an additional $130 billion for schools on top of the $110 billion already given to schools, however, the funding will also be dispersed to schools refusing to open to in-person instruction despite experts saying it is largely safe to re-open. The legislation also allows teacher’s unions, many of which are refusing to return to schools, the ability to apply for up to $10 million per union from the Paycheck Protection Program intended for small businesses.
