While stimulus checks are vital to those struggling amidst the pandemic, Republicans have argued that the funds must be sent to families in real need. However, Democrats would rather give sweeping payments across the board despite the fact some Americans don’t need them. The relief bill would give up to $1,400 per taxpayer and per dependent that would give money to some married couples with up to $200,000 in annual income.
