Oregon also made the list of the Fraser Institute’s least free states. According to data, Oregon ranked at 44th in line according to “most free” to “least free.” The state was plagued by seemingly endless riots starting last summer. As the state seemed to be overtaken by violence and riots and the governor unwilling to address the crisis American began to flee. However, data shows Americans were fleeing the state prior to the riots based on high taxes and increased homeless populations.
