Team Biden Gets Blasted During First China Test

Biden’s Secretary of State Anthony Blinken embarrassed the United States during a meeting with China’s top diplomat Yang Jiechi. A delegation from the two countries is currently meeting in Alaska, and supposedly the outcome of the meeting will be a major determinant of when President Biden will meet with Xi Jinping. However, China absolutely blasted Blinken during an exchange leaving the U.S. looking weak and embarrassed.

The exchange was so bad that not even Biden-loving liberal media outlet The Daily Beast could spin it:

In his opening remarks, Blinken reportedly criticized China for its treatment of Uyghur minorities, its cyber attacks against the U.S., and its tight grasp on Hong Kong.

According to Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Jacobs, Jiechi responded by saying that the U.S. is the “champion” of cyber attacks, that it has a “deeply-rooted human rights problem”—including its history of killing Black people—and that the country doesn’t represent “global public opinion.”

The Alaska talks were to be a deciding factor on whether U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be meeting next month, according to earlier reporting by Bloomberg. The fiery exchange on Thursday may have put the prospects of that meeting into question.

Blinken had nothing to respond with making him either naive or confirms suspicions he’s not the right man for the job.

Townhall reports:

The final insult was when top Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi said, “So, let me say here that in front of the Chinese side, the United States does not have the qualifications to say that it wants to speak to China from a position of strength.”

If this meeting is any indication of how President Biden’s eventual meeting with Jinping will go we should all be extremely concerned. China has asserted itself as a world power and clearly has no issue with steamrolling the U.S. on its way to the top, when the U.S. needed to display strength Blinken fell flat.
