Biden spokeswoman Jen Psaki was left speechless when RealClearNews reporter Phillip Wegman called out President Biden for praising Major League Baseball for moving its All-Star game out of Georgia over a new election bill while remaining silent on America’s participation in the Beijing Olympic Games.
Recently, major corporations and President Biden have fiercely criticized Georgia for passing an election bill that requires a photo ID and works to expand voting dates and times across the state, particularly in rural areas. President Biden has made multiple false comments regarding the bill, even leading the liberal Washington Post to fact-check his comments. Ultimately, the publication gave Biden “four Pinocchios” saying his comments were untrue and they have “no idea” where he got the patently false information.
However, Psaki quickly got defensive when a reporter asked why Biden would make comments about the Georgia election bill and the MLB yet remain silent about the Beijing games when he previously said the Chinese president “doesn’t have a democratic bone in his body.”
Multiple Republican lawmakers have said the U.S. should not participate in the Olympic games considering the ongoing genocide being committed against the Muslim Uighur population in China. However, President Biden has largely remained quiet on the issue. Former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo declared China’s treatment of Uighurs ‘genocide’ however President Biden has attempted to claim that there are “cultural differences” and that the U.S. should not intervene.
