Ohio State Rep. Mike Loychik introduced legislation to rename a local park after former President Trump. Loychick introduced the legislation with the support of the Republican Party to “honor the commitment and dedication that our 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump bestowed upon the great people of Trumbull County.”

The Hill reports:

Under the bill, Ohio’s Mosquito Lake State Park will be renamed Donald J. Trump State Park, in an effort to celebrate the former president who led in the state in both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. It would also allocate $300,000 towards changing the signs in the park, the bill noted.

I witnessed the unprecedented and astounding support that President Trump received from my constituents across the 63rd District and Mosquito Lake State Park,” Loychik said of his proposal in the statement.

He also noted that Trump received a record and number of votes in the state for any presidential candidate.

“This enthusiasm for our former president was also historic throughout the state of Ohio last November as he pushed for initiatives and policies that was very well-received with my constituency and the state,” he said, according to the Associated Press.

In both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, Trump led Trumbull County with or 55% of the vote.

    1. Even Byrd is not as bad as Nevada naming just about everything after the Lying ONE EYED BANDIT, aka HARRY “the liar” REID.
They are growing from a SIN CITY to SIN STATE.

  1. Well it’s about time he gets some recognition ……I hope it continues….just want to say that if Trump was president George Floyd’s life would still be with us! What a shame! Hope trump stays in the spotlight! Don’t care what he did before that’s his business. All I know is that he did dam well when he was pres.

  2. Hopefully, history will remember this park as part of the prosecution of those who pulled off the biggest crime in U.S. history: the great 2020 election fraud. It’ll be remembered as the event that installed the oldest person ever to assume the U.S. presidency; the event that installed a person known to suffer with dementia; an imbecile barely able to read his teleprompter. It will remember Trump as the victim of this great crime.

    1. Good comment, Gene. Let’s hope that some of the ongoing investigations into the fraud will be more honest.

  3. If Ohio would rename a park with lodging for President Trump, it might be able to encourage a tourism increase.

  4. do it and name an airport,,freeway and other things after him,,also name the sewer other crap after Obama and Biden also

  5. the only president we have had that was not part of the problem.and the crooks on congress did not like loosing their honey-pot of stolen money. both democommunist’s and republicrats.all traitors to the constitution.

  6. Renaming a park is nice, and a meaningful honor. But, I would rather rename the White House as “Trump’s House” in 2024. That is, as soon as we can get rid of slimeball Joe Biden. Honestly, now, Americans, have you ever even read about a bigger failure than the Democrat idol, Joe Biden, certainly among the most abhorrent and loathsome politicians in Washington, D.C.- and believe me (considering Harris, Pelosi, Schumer, and Mad Max Waters) that is saying a lot! Wake up! Americans!

  7. President Trump did so much for the economy, the military, religious freedoms, trade, securing the borders and all freedoms. He didn’t have to run for President, he ran because he loves America, and wanted to keep the American dream alive. There was and is no country like us or our freedoms, opportunities, and rights. Look at the Left and their policies and how they have harmed your families, education, jobs, freedoms, and livelihood, and you can clearly see why he has been one of best most resourceful Presidents.

  8. Pres. Trump was an honorable man, not like the stump of burned out neural protoplasm who now inhabits the White House after 47 years of graft, corruption and crime. Mr. Trump also famously kept his promises, unlike the average dissimulating politician. Bully for you, Mr. Trump! Please come back!
