Ron DeSantis
Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis has been making headlines across the country for months now. Republicans love him and of course, Democrats despise him. The Florida Republican was among the first governor to reopen his state which led to cries from the left saying that Covid cases and deaths would surely spike as a result. However, neither happened and instead, Florida is on its way to getting back to normal and repairing its economy which was devastated by the crushing blow Covid dealt its tourism industry.
There is no surprise many have started referring to DeSantis as “America’s governor” and have begun to float his name as a favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
