Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson is ranked the ninth most popular governor by Morning Consult. Gov. Hutchinson was elected in 2018, receiving the most votes of any governor in the state’s history. According to Hutchinson’s website, President Ronald Reagan appointed Governor Hutchinson as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas. In late March Gov. Hutchinson lifted the remaining Covid restrictions and the state has boasted a stark decline in cases and hospitalization rates.
