How Will Manchin Respond?
Republican’s push to keep Chipman from becoming the head of the ATF could all come down to moderate Democrat Joe Manchin. Manchin has signaled he could be on the fence on confirming such a radical choice causing Republicans to wonder if Manchin will ultimately oppose the nominee. While Manchin has signaled he’s open to enacting more gun laws he has also vehemently opposed comments from Beto O’Rourke about confiscating guns.
