Tuesday night the House of Representatives voted to remove several painting and statues in the Capitol which depict figures from the Confederacy. The bill ultimately passed the House 285-120 with 67 Republicans voting in favor of the changes. If the bill ultimately passes it seeks to replace painting and statues in public view in the Capitol of any figure who voluntarily served the Confederacy and will also install a bust of Thurgood Marshall in the Old Supreme Court Chamber.
