The Democratic National Committee and other Biden allied groups are pushing phone carriers and social media platforms to censor users from spreading vaccine disinformation.
After failing to meet their goal of inoculating 70% of Americans by July 4, the White House shifted its public health strategy to a door-to-door campaign to increase vaccination rates. Critics of the plan have been vocally opposed, and the Biden administration is clearly unhappy about the pushback.
“The big misinterpretation that Fox News or whomever else is saying is that they are essentially envisioning a bunch of federal workers knocking on your door, telling you you’ve got to do something that you don’t want to do,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an interview Sunday.
“That’s absolutely not the case, it’s trusted messengers who are part of the community doing that — not government officials. So that’s where I think the disconnect is,” he remarked.
The individuals doing the door knocking are reportedly going to be “pastors or grassroots organizers, not government bureaucrats,” but Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk said “Biden is sending goons DOOR-TO-DOOR to make you take a Covid-19 vaccine,” and has sent out a petition via SMS messages to urge people to reject “medical raids in America.”
Liberal officials are so enraged by the conservative media’s lambasting, that the DNC is “planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages.”
“We are steadfastly committed to keeping politics out of the effort to get every American vaccinated so that we can save lives and help our economy further recover,” White House spokesperson Kevin Munoz said.
And they’re so “committed” that the administration is willing to censor American’s private messages to prevent “deliberate efforts to spread misinformation.”
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson outlined what this action means for Americans: “What you say in private, when you’re alone with your phone, you won’t be able to say or read what you want because the DNC plans to control—and apparently have the ability to control—the flow the information you receive on your phone.”
He gravely warned that the government has “one standard for enforcing the law for people who agree with them and a different one for those who don’t agree with them.”
“Now those same people just gave themselves the power to read and censor your text messages. We got to resist this, you can’t let this continue,” Carlson concluded. “Or else you’re going to wake up in a very different place from the place you were born.”
