Not Understanding the Meaning Behind FiveThirtyEight
Joy Reid just isn’t the brightest bulb in the pack.
Here's the thing: the reason there's a thing called @FiveThirtyEight is because 538 was the margin in FL when the Republican SCOTUS reversed the 2000 election during a recount, making Dubya the president. That's the kind of margin where races can flip. That's not what's up now.

Reid told followers that the data website FiveThirtyEight was named for George W. Bush’s 2000 election margin of victory over Al Gore in Florida and that the “Republican SCOTUS reversed the 2000 election.” It’s actually named after the number of electoral votes in a presidential election.
