Critical Race Theory
In Tuesday’s vote-a-rama the Senate passed Sen Tom Cotton’s amendment that will ban federal tax dollars from funding critical race theory. The amendment narrowly passed 50-49 with only one Democrat supporting it. Moderate Democrat Joe Manchin was the lone Democrat to support Cotton’s amendment.
“Today some want to replace our founding principles with critical race theory, want to teach our children America is not a good nation but a racist nation,” Cotton said on the Senate floor. “Those teachings are wrong, and our tax dollars should not support them.”
Critical Race Theory teaches people to obsess over race instead of treating everyone equally. It has no place in our schools. Who could disagree with that? Democrats, apparently.
