Homeowner Fends Off Burglar with Machete 

A homeowner in El Paso, Texas found himself staring down a burglar in the middle of the night and went toe to toe with the man using a machete. 

An El Paso man woke up to the sound of breaking glass, and it turns out a burglar was attempting to break into his home. The burglar was wielding a large metal rod. 

The homeowner attempted to get the man to leave by trying to talk him out of it. When the thief refused to leave the homeowner confronted him with a machete. The two ended up fighting and exchanging blows, ultimately the homeowner fended him off the property. 

When the police finally arrived the burglar would make a break for it, unfortunately for him he only made it a few blocks away before he was caught.
