Kentucky Senator and Dr. Fauci’s biggest rival Rand Paul seems to have his re-election in the bag. Senator Paul recently boasted his record-breaking campaign haul after he brought in more than $4 million in the third quarter of 2021.
Officials reported that Paul’s recent fundraising record was broken by mostly grass-roots donors and also our-raised any of his past fundraising quarters.
According to The Washington Examiner:
The raw numbers from the campaign show that he has raised more than $9 million year-to-date and has a whopping $7 million left on hand.
The campaign said that over 150,000 small-dollar “grassroots donors” contributed to that amount.
And when combined with his Kentucky Freedom PAC, Paul has raised a total of $15 million this year, leaving $12 million on hand.
“Sen. Rand Paul remains the leading voice against government overreach and massive wasteful spending in Washington. Voters in Kentucky agree and have shown their support in record numbers,” senior advisor Sergio Gor told Secrets.
So far, Sen. Paul’s Democrat challenger Charles Booker has only raised about $1.7 million.
The news is surely devastating to Dr. Fauci, as Sen. Paul is known to intensely scrutinize the health expert regarding Covid-19 and his constant flip-flopping and often call for him to be held accountable.
