On Thursday, Chief Justice John Roberts rejected a bid to block the federal mask mandates for airplanes.

The emergency request was filed by a Florida man on behalf of himself and his 4-year-old autistic son, who both claim to be medically incapable of wearing masks for extended periods, according to court papers.
They were joined by another man, Lucas Wall, who claims he is “stranded at his mother’s residence” in Florida because the federal mask mandate bars him from flying. Wall, who says he is unable to wear a mask due to an anxiety disorder, posted a YouTube video of his failed effort to board a flight without a mask and created a GoFundMe page to raise money off his multiple lawsuits targeting the public health measure.
Roberts, who handles emergency requests from Washington, D.C., where the case arose, denied the request without comment — and without referring the matter to the other justices, a sign that he thought the claim lacked legal merit.
Under an executive order signed by President Biden, the Transportation Security Administration requires passengers on airplanes and other public transportation to wear masks to reduce the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 790,000 in the U.S.
The scientific studies prove masks are useless and detrimental to your health when worn for extended period of time. It’s just a “blankie or Binkie for uniformed adults.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the legal merit of the case. I think it has to do with the Chief Justice’s proclivity not to rock the boat. The humanitarian concern could not overcome that.

Robert’s is a compromised judge, and can’t be trusted, as a conservative judge, he has voted with the liberals most of the time, he should step down,and relinquish that chief justice moniker. No one should be listening to disgraceful,,embarrassment,dementia,joe who is out of touch with reality.

Noooo, 790K died WITH COVID-1984, not FROM COVID-1984! Until Ohio “corrected” their published data in December 2020, Ohio had registered ZERO excess deaths in 2020, then 8K magically appeared. Same from February to mid-March, 2021, 10K suddenly appeared to have died from Covid. Before and after those weeks. the rates were consistently lower and have remained so.
Roberts is a political hack and we all know that.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, 385,000 Americans died from covid in 2020.
Also according to the Centers for Disease Control, the total number of deaths in 2020 was 48,000 more than it would have been if the death rate in 2020 had been the same as the death rate in 2018.
So 385,000 people died from covid … but there were only 48,000 extra deaths. Okay, some number of people presumably died from covid who, if they had lived, would have been hit by a truck or died from some other cause. But 337,000? That seems somewhat … implausible.

Look up obama’s first State of the Union address…he looked squarely at stevens and stated that going forward, SCOTUS would be ‘doing the right thing.’ I was convinced at the time that stevens was compromised, and wondered what it could be. He also twisted himself into a knot assisting the obama argument for the ‘affordable care act’. He’s been a stain on the Courts his entire career. And, I’ll give odds HE doesn’t wear a mask when HE flies.
