A detective from the LAPD has put it out rather plainly, “we don’t think we can keep you safe.” This kind of messaging is indicative of a deeply broken system, where police are not actually able to do anything about a problem as a result of their supervisors and politicians tying their hands. This same detective, Jamie McBride, told Fox News in an interview that the city of Los Angeles is quickly becoming the set of the next “Purge” movie.
