Another senior aide to Kamala Harris is throwing in the towel. Following the mass exodus from the Vice President’s office, Vince Evans, deputy director of public engagement and intergovernmental affairs, is abandoning the White House for a job on Capitol Hill with the Congressional Black Caucus.

According to The Washington Examiner:

A Florida native, Evans was the Southern political director for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign before serving as Harris’s political director on the vice presidential ticket. His departure was reported late last year amid news Harris’s communications director Ashley Etienne, an Obama administration veteran, was leaving, alongside Symone Sanders, a senior adviser and chief spokesperson to Harris and a top Biden campaign aide.

The White House has rebuffed reports of dysfunction inside the vice president’s office, telling reporters the turnover is the result of normal attrition after a grueling campaign and first year on the job.

A former California senator who drew a national following during the Trump administration, Harris’s footing as vice president has at times appeared unsure.

Low job approval numbers, 32% according to a new USA Today/Suffolk University poll released this week, highlight her challenges connecting with voters.

Recently, a number of Kamala’s aides have abandoned her, adding to reports of a toxic workplace and disagreements with President Biden.
