Michigan Redistricting

In Michigan Democrats attempted to bring forward a lawsuit against the proposed redistricting claiming that it disenfranchised the African American vote. The Michigan Supreme court dismissed the lawsuit and dissenting justices claimed that this was premature. Interestingly, Republicans are also taking the map to court claiming that it overly splits municipal boundaries.
