Kevin Kiley will advance to the general election after finishing in second place. Eastern California’s district 3 including Lake Tahoe, parts of Sacramento, and extends all the way to Death Valley. His Democrat opponent, Kermit Jones, leads him overall by 11 points.
In November 2021, Kiley placed 6th in his bid to unseat Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom. He has spoken out against Newsom on several occasions and continues to stand his ground.
Kiley stands as Donald Trump’s choice for the district. The former president had this to say. “No one has fought Gavin Newsom harder than Kevin. He doesn’t wait for the fight, like the do-nothing RINOs who have watched California get absolutely destroyed by the radical maniacs in Sacramento.”
