Election Watch: Arizona is a Coin Flip
CPAC has reported that Maricopa County makes up about 60% of the total vote in the state. Republicans will need to get close to 50% of the vote in this county to win statewide elections. The races to watch in this state are the Gubernatorial race and the Senate race. Kari Lake (R) is facing off against Katie Hobbs. For the U.S. Senate, Blake Masters (R) is facing off against Mark Kelly (D). Both the Gubernatorial and the Senate competition are neck and neck. Arizona is officially a coin flip. Kari Lake is backed by President Trump and has become a rising star in the GOP. She has created waves in the state of Arizona, and the nation.
Election Watch: North Carolina
CPAC has said that Wake (Raleigh-Durham) and Mecklenburg (Charlotte) make up about 21% of the overall statewide vote total. If Ted Budd can get about 35% of the vote in both counties, he will cruise to victory. According to FiveThirtyEight, Budd is 4.3 points ahead of Beasley. This is just outside of the margin of error. Ted Budd is endorsed by President Trump. He defeated 13 other candidates in a Senate primary race.
