Democrats call this migrant drop-off a “shameful stunt” even though they knew it was taking place. Texas Governor Greg Abbott is facing criticism after a late-night migrant drop-off at Vice President Kamala Harris’s house on Christmas Eve. Three buses carrying migrants from Texas arrived in Washington D.C. late Saturday evening in freezing temperatures before dropping the passengers off near the home of the VP. The migrants were later helped by the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network and taken to a local church. The migrants were expected but got to D.C. a day earlier. Now Governor Abbott faces heat from many Democrat lawmakers following the situation.
Texas Democrat Congressman, Joaquin Castro tweeted,
Worthless @GovAbbott dropping off people with no money and no means on Christmas Eve in 15 degree weather near the VP’s residence. How Christian of you, Greg Abbott. Being a heartless POS isn’t going to make you the next Republican President. https://t.co/AM0xrUGLvo

Democrat Congressman Ritchie Torres also tweeted out a response poking at the Governors pro-life stance saying,
Governor Abbott claims to be a “pro-life Christian” yet shows no regard for the lives of children left shivering in the freezing cold on Christmas Eve.
Dropping off migrants in 18 degree weather is so cruel that it ought to be criminal.

This is not the first time a drop-off has occurred, not even at the VP’s house. Just in the last several months, many migrants have been dropped off outside of her house. In multiple attempts by border states to raise awareness of the border crisis. Which has included Texas, Florida, and Arizona. As many are fed up with the way Biden and Harris have treated the border, and not visited, since taking office.
