Biden’s Border Blunders are Chaotic

In 2020 Biden bashed Trump on the campaign trail for his refusal of allowing illegal aliens into the country as part of asylum. Back then he had said, “This is the first president in the history of the United States of America that anybody seeking asylum has to do it in another country. That’s never happened before in America.”  Now it seems like Trump’s policies are as good as any as Biden takes them back. As Title 42 ends at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, Biden is set to do things the ‘Trump Way’ since the administration failed their way and couldn’t control the historic new levels of illegal immigration coming into our country.

American Action News reports:

The Biden Administration is bringing back a Trump-era rule. Migrants will be disqualified from applying for asylum in the U.S., if they have not applied for asylum in other countries, they would have had to travel through to get to America first. It is of course interesting that after Biden’s bashing of Trump for the policy in 2020, he turns the table and plays copycat in 2023.

Earlier this week, Biden said that the border situation will be “chaotic for a while” as his administration procrastinates by trying to figure out how to restore order.  24 hours later, Biden was speaking with reporters and admitted there has been “chaos at the border for a number of years.”

“Well, we’ve had chaos at the border for a number of years,” the president said before boarding Air Force One in White Plains, New York. “We have to fully fund the border security effort.”

He added, “Look, the purpose of what we’re doing now is making legal immigration more streamlined, illegal immigration shorter term and moved — and moving in a direction that people know that there’s a legal way to get here and not legal way. That is what’s underway now.”

If the border has been chaotic for years, then what has Biden done since he took office in January of 2021?  Nothing but procrastinating.
