Trump’s Wall is Better, Here’s Proof

President Trump vowed to strengthen U.S. borders against illegal immigrants and he is delivering on his promises. Throughout his campaign, Trump told Americans about his plans to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and the new wall puts the Obama-era fence to shame.

Trump’s new border security system boasts a 30-foot tall wall made of concrete and steel meanwhile Obama’s “wall” made it incredibly easy for illegals to cross the border. The old wall is simply constructed of barbed wire and delicate wooden posts with Normandy barriers meant to keep vehicles from crossing, the acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan described the wall as a “joke.”

In an article from Townhall:

“This is what we had for a very long time, right? Wood and barbed wire. That is what we had to stop people. And then we upgraded to [the Normandy barriers] and this is a joke,” Morgan said, as he explained how smugglers developed techniques to cut through the Normandy barriers so they could move them aside to let vehicles through and then move them back into place.

“So when you see this 30-foot high wall, concrete and steel into the ground, yeah, it’s brand new,” Morgan said, adding the wall is part of a system, complete with roads, lighting, and surveillance that helps deter illegal crossings or slow down illegal crossers so border patrol agents have time to respond.

“We need it all, including the wall. One element by itself is not the end-all solution. The wall doesn’t address the problem by itself, nor does technology…last time I checked, technology can’t apprehend anybody,” he said.

El Paso Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez told Townhall the new 30-foot high wall system is the best she has seen in deterring and slowing down illegal crossings.

With more advanced systems being implemented to deter immigrants from entering the U.S. illegally resources and manpower are now being able to be allocated to different areas needing help such as tunnels and drones. Chavez and Moran also noted a huge improvement in relations between the United States and Mexico since Trump became President explaining how Mexico has become more motivated to stop immigrants from crossing into the United States.

Morgan and Chavez were also careful to warn of the dangerous implications Biden could have on illegal immigration if he becomes president calling it a “disaster.” The two noted how Biden’s promises of protections from sanctuary cities send a dangerous signal prompting more individuals to come here illegally.
