The New York Times has yet to write a word about the current scandal surrounding Democrat Eric Swalwell. Last week, Axios published a bombshell report detailing the relationship between Democrat lawmaker Eric Swalwell and suspected Chinese spy Christine Fang. The report detailed how Fang targeted and got close to politicians before they became major players on the national stage. Despite the shocking report’s details and the fact Swalwell has yet to deny any of the claims the story has widely gone unreported.
Swalwell repeatedly made false claims that President Trump was a Russian agent, a story the media was happy to cover all day and night. Now that Swalwell is the center of a scandal he is attempting to blame President Trump for the Axios reporting, claiming it’s a form of retribution.
Fox News reports:
Early last week, Axios published a bombshell report that a woman named Fang Fang, aka Christine Fang, forged ties with Swalwell while he was a city council member in Dublin, Calif. According to the report, Fang helped fundraise for Swalwell’s 2014 reelection campaign and placed an intern in his office. Fang reportedly forged other ties with Democratic politicians, even engaging in sexual relations with at least two Midwestern mayors.
Swalwell reportedly cut ties with Fang in 2015 after the FBI gave him a defensive briefing.
The Times, which won a Pulitzer Prize for its reporting on the Russia investigation that pushed the collusion narrative between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, has yet to touch the Swalwell story, according to search results on the paper’s website.
Both CNN and MSNBC have dedicated no more than five minutes to the story during the entire week. On the broadcast networks, only ABC spent roughly two minutes covering the Chinese espionage on “Good Morning America,” while CBS and NBC have completely avoided the subject.
The idea of the liberal media deliberately suppressing bombshell accusations against a Democrat is all too familiar after the media chose to ignore a report regarding the President-elect’s son Hunter Biden.
Since the story broke connecting Swalwell to a suspected spy multiple lawmakers have called to be removed from the House Intelligence Committee and from office altogether.
