House Republicans are calling on Speaker Nancy Pelosi to remove Eric Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee amid national security concerns. The demand for his removal comes after a groundbreaking report detailed Swalwell’s relationship with suspected Chinese spy Christine Fang. Fang targetted Swalwell and helped raise funds for his reelection campaign. Fang also managed to place at least one intern in his office. Republicans concerned by Swalwell’s close contact with a Chinese Communist Party believe he should be removed from the Intelligence Committee if not from his office altogether.
